Hungarian star Barnabas Varga, who was taken to hospital on Sunday after suffering a sickening head injury during the Euro 2024 match against Scotland, has been released from hospital.
In a statement on Twitter, the Hungarian Football Federation wrote: “Barnabas Varga was released from hospital in Stuttgart this morning and is currently recovering at home in Hungary.”
A photo of him leaving hospital was also shared online, with the football association writing: ‘Barnabás Varga continues to recover in Hungary!’
