Frustrated diners are outraged after discovering a core menu item from US burger chain In-N-Out was missing from its pop-up in Melbourne on Wednesday.

One person wrote on TikTok, “Why are they serving packet chips/crisps? Doesn’t look very good.”
While another said ‘I would have preferred chips’.
A third posted: ‘In-N-Out fries are wrong anyway, that’s a win’.
The pop-up, which was open from 9am to 3pm on Wednesday 8 March at the Newmarket Hotel in St Kilda, was the second time the popular food chain has appeared on the Australian coast.
And it was no less busy, with cutscenes of at least an hour long queues snaking around the block.
People described the scenes as “crazy,” “insane,” and “ridiculous.”
The pop-up store served Double-Double burgers, which consist of “double meat and double cheese,” for $8 in addition to Animal Style burgers and Protein Style burgers.
By noon, the 600 available burgers were already sold out.

Lawyer turned entrepreneur and self-professed burger expert James Hurlston was the first to share the news of the pop-up on Instagram.
He wrote, “Melbourne, you are busy. It’s going to be a sale. There will be a lineup.
In-N-Out debuted its first pop-up store in Perth last year, with Sydney as its second stop.
