‘Humiliated’ New Jersey teen Adriana Kuch killed herself at home after being taunted with texts

‘Humiliated’ New Jersey teenager Adriana Kuch has committed suicide after bullies beating her in school hallways taunted her with text messages, her father has revealed to DailyMail.com.

Adriana, 14, took her own life in her bedroom at her family’s home in Berkeley Township, New Jersey, on February 3.

Hours earlier, she had received a taunting text from one of the girls who filmed the attack, taunting her for ‘dripping’ blood on the floor and being ‘yelled at’.

Four teenagers have now been charged in the attack, which left Adriana with a broken lip and severely bruised legs. DailyMail.com is not naming the girls, who are all minors.

Michael Kuch, Adriana’s father, says the beating was instigated by one of the girls, who was jealous of Adriana’s friendship with another girl.

What led her to commit suicide, she says, is the fact that she was “embarrassed” by the rapid spread of videos of the attack on TikTok and Snapchat.

‘She was so embarrassed that they attacked her. She would say, “I don’t want to be made fun of.”

β€œIt was like she was attacked twice.

‘It used to be that you would go to school, get bullied, and then leave.

“But now you come home and you’re still bullied, you’re still being bullied at home.”

He also criticized the school, Central Regional High School, for failing to expel the bullies or call the police after the attack.

‘He [school] He hasn’t done anything.. They shouldn’t be in charge of our children’s safety

Authorities launched an investigation after he brought Adriana to a police station with her face bloody and bruised.

‘I can’t begin to tell you how angry I am at the school, at the police department…if those videos hadn’t been posted these girls would have ended up with a one day suspension or no problem at all. .

‘He [school] He hasn’t done anything. They shouldn’t be in charge of our children’s safety.

Mr Kuch is also “sick” by the fact that as he and his wife prepare to bury Adriana, the school’s superintendent, Triantafillos Parlapanides, is fighting back on social media, writing in a post yesterday, almost a week after Adriana’s suicide: “There are two versions of each story.”

Mr. Kuch, who served 22 years in the US Army, is calling for all staff at the school to be laid off.

‘You trust these people to keep your children safe, but they are failing.

‘They have to go.

‘As I prepare for my daughter’s funeral, he is posting online saying ‘are there two sides to every story?’

‘It disgusts me. There is a side. She was mugged.

One of the girls involved in the attack posted these heartless messages on Snapchat. Adriana’s father said: ‘It used to be that you would go to school, get bullied and then leave. But now you come home and you’re still being bullied, you’re still being bullied at home.’

The school superintendent’s office did not immediately respond to inquiries about the post.

The attack occurred on February 1. Adriana was walking down the hall with her boyfriend when she was mugged.

Two of the girls filmed the attack, including the one Mr Kuch says was the ‘instigator’, while two others carried out the beating.

At one point, Adriana was hit in the face with a water bottle filled with 20z, her father says.

It pains me how easily this could have been fixed.

Some teachers finally rushed to stop the beating, but by this time Adriana had “passed out”, her father says.

She later called him crying and told him that she had been attacked.

She ran to the school and was horrified when the staff said they hadn’t called the police or thought of taking Adriana to a doctor.

“All they had done was take her to the school nurse,” he said.

She asked why the girls weren’t expelled right away and says school staff told her it’s not their “policy.”

Mr. Kuch says he got the same answer when he asked the teachers why no one had called the police.

‘If the police had been called and the girls had been rounded up right there, everyone would have seen that it was wrong.

Instead, he took Adriana to the police station to file a complaint. But he says they dragged her feet too.

He had to provide them with videos of the incident that had started spreading on social media.

‘I feel like I’ve had to do all the research. I am doing everyone’s job during the duel,” he said.

The day after the beating, Adriana stayed home from school.

He lived with his father, stepmother, 16-year-old brother, and two stepsisters.

Her mother tragically died when she was seven years old.

Her father says school staff told her to do it because they didn’t want bullies making fun of her swelling or bruising.

‘We spent time together…she decided she wanted to go back to school the next day.

She went to her boyfriend’s house during the day. I got home around 5 o’clock.

We had McDonald’s and I got him his favorite – the crispy chicken sandwich.

‘We had dinner, talked about friends and made decisions in life… I liked to lecture her.

‘We had a great conversation, [my wife and I] We said we wanted her to hang out with good people and tried to explain how that would help her in life.

“I was in a good mood,” he said.

The family said goodbye and went to their separate rooms.

Cameras inside the house showed Adriana going from her converted basement room to the kitchen for a snack around 10 p.m.

In a Facebook post yesterday, School Superintendent Trian Parlapanides made this comment saying there are “two sides to every story.” He was responding to a post from a mother and former students who said she would never send her daughters to school after learning of Adriana’s suicide.

The school superintendent shared this letter with parents and on the school website.

Now, her father knows from her cell phone records that she had been online and texting with her boyfriend.

He also knows that she received a direct message from one of the girls involved, taunting her about the video and the beating.

He says he taunted her for ‘dripping’ blood, and she was ‘beaten’.

The last message Adriana sent was to her boyfriend at 10:46 p.m.

At 5 in the morning, her stepmother came down to her room to wake her up. Mr. Kuch remembers hearing her ‘scream’.

‘I was in the kitchen, the wife came down [to wake Adriana] And I just heard her yell “no.”

I ran downstairs and immediately saw that her bed was empty. At first I thought, “did she sneak out to her boyfriend’s house?”

‘He was wearing the same clothes he had been wearing the day before. A brown jacket that she had just bought for him.

He loved that jacket.

The family is preparing for a private viewing today. Adriana’s funeral will take place tomorrow.

All four girls have now been charged; three for assault in the fourth degree and one for disorderly conduct.

It is unclear if they will be prosecuted as adults or minors.

Mr Kuch says he has a meeting with the local prosecutor to be consulted on the case next week.

In an interview with News 12 New Jersey, the superintendent also defended not calling the police, saying: ‘Usually we just fail.

If a parent wants to press charges, they can do so with the police.

“But we’re not going to break a kid where they get suspended and then the police charge them too.”
