Hume Highway crash: Six car pile-up sparks commuter chaos with as traffic builds up for nine kilometres

A multi-vehicle crash along the Hume Highway, north of the M5 and M7, has caused major delays as traffic backed up for nine miles.
Six cars were involved, with a NSW Fire and Rescue spokesperson stating it was a ‘nose to tail’ incident. The accident happened on Wednesday morning around 5:56 am.
Emergency services are on site and no serious injuries have been reported at this time.

The crash occurred near Edmondson Park, with two of the four northbound lanes closed.
