  • The couple made a rare public appearance at a pre-Met Gala event last night
  • Huma divorced ex-husband Anthony Weiner seven years ago

Huma Abedin and her billionaire heir Alex Soros made a rare public appearance at Anna Wintour’s pre-Met Gala dinner on Sunday evening.

The 47-year-old attended the event with 38-year-old boyfriend Alex – and both were dressed to impress, in keeping with the exclusive event’s theme: The Garden of Time.

The statuesque beauty looked whimsical in a long embroidered white dress by Oscar de la Renta.

The lace dress, which retails for $5,990, features a thin black bow around the waist and has a simple A-line silhouette with corset boning and a scalloped edge.

Huma let her long, raven locks flow loosely and tucked her locks behind her ears before accessorizing with a black clutch and black pointy high heels.

Alex – who was previously named as the heir to his father’s $25 billion empire – wore a light gray suit, which he paired with a sky blue shirt and black leather shoes.

The loving couple left the event hand in hand.

Huma, Hillary Clinton’s former aide, caused a stir in February after going public with billionaire husband Alex Soros, who is almost a decade younger than her.

She made her public debut in February this year with Alex after he shared a photo of them enjoying dinner at a restaurant in Paris to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The couple have kept a low profile since then and have barely been seen in public. In April, Page six reported that they were sitting courtside to watch the Knicks take on the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The pair’s romance comes seven years after Huma divorced her former husband Anthony Weiner, who became embroiled in a number of high-profile scandals.

Weiner was caught several times sending explicit photos to various women – even during his political campaigns.

Huma’s most high-profile – and perhaps most turbulent – relationship was with disgraced politician Anthony Weiner

But he failed to learn from his missteps and was later sentenced to 21 months in prison after he started sexting a 15-year-old girl.

Huma, who had initially supported him, eventually decided to pull the plug and the couple went their separate ways.

The former couple share a son, Jordan, who was born in 2011.

Huma was previously rumored to be dating Bradley Cooper for a short period in 2022 – he reportedly arrived at the Met Gala that year with The Hangover star bbefore splitting up to maintain their cover.

Huma is reportedly close friends with Vogue editor Anna Wintour and has been attending the exclusive event since 2016.

The Costume Institute’s Spring Exhibition falls on the first Monday in May each year and is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

This year the event is called Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, while the dress code is The Garden of Time.

The chairs of honor for the evening are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.

“This year’s co-chairs reflect a variety of career achievements and each has their own style history at the Met Gala,” Vogue said.

The display will feature approximately 250 items from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection. Many of the pieces are too fragile to ever be worn again.
