Hugo Boss is heading for a record year after an ‘extremely successful’ quarter boosted sales to £813 million

Hugo Boss’s success was aided after it brought in celebrities including Naomi Campbell

Hugo Boss praised an “extremely successful” quarter after fall and winter clothing proved a hit with shoppers.

The luxury German fashion brand is on track for a record year after sales jumped 18 percent in the three months to 30 September to £813 million.

That was over £690 million a year earlier, and more than a quarter above pre-pandemic levels. Hugo Boss saw profits rise 8 per cent to £80 million in the period.

It expects sales of up to £3.1bn this year, the highest ever, with profits of £290m. But despite the bumper update, shares fell 3 percent, making the company worth £3.1 billion.

Hugo Boss is undergoing a revamp aimed at revamping key brands Hugo and Boss to attract younger shoppers. Its success was aided after it enlisted celebrities including Naomi Campbell (pictured), Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner to promote its clothing.
