Hugh Sheridan reveals he was ‘offered a ticket’ to deadly Israeli music festival targeted by Palestinian terrorists as event’s death toll reaches 260

Hugh Sheridan has revealed he was almost caught up in a Hamas terror attack after being invited to a music festival targeted by the militants.

The Packed To The Rafters actor, 38, shared footage of the terrifying scenes from the music festival, which was first reported by The New York Times.

The video was accompanied by news that Palestinian militants “killed more than 100 ravers and kidnapped others”, with the death toll now said to be over 260.

The video ends with a woman screaming in terror as she is abducted on the back of a motorcycle, while her boyfriend is marched away by militants like a frog.

Hugh revealed that he attended a peace barbecue for the festival and was offered a ticket to attend, but declined the offer.

“I attended (before) the sunset beach PEACE bbq (barbecue) for this, they offered me a ticket for this as well,” Hugh began, referring to the music festival.

Hugh said it was to raise money for Israel’s ‘Burning Man’ which will take place in six weeks’ time, speaking of the ‘kind’ and ‘loving’ nature of festival goers.

“These are kind and loving people who just want the best for the planet and just want to rest and dance with nature for a minute,” he wrote.

“The latest report says that over 250 innocent people have been killed here.” I can’t believe I didn’t go. It’s just creeping in,” he finished.

Hugh was caught up in Hamas terror attacks on the country over the weekend, and he shared alarming footage of himself hiding in the stairwell with friends.

He also posted a disturbing video of sirens and deserted Israeli streets, telling fans he was looking for a taxi to take him to safety.

“A few hours ago, everyone in Israel was living a completely normal life. “Yesterday was a major Jewish holiday, a week after the new year,” he wrote.

“Yesterday we were at a barbecue with young people who are now on their way to Gaza to fight. My heart is breaking, I’m on the stairs,’ he added.

Sheridan also posted a video of a quiet Israeli street as he and his friends try to make their way to the airport and leave the country.

“It became eerily quiet.” I’m desperately looking for a taxi to the airport to try and get out. The rockets were too close,” he wrote next to the video.

Fortunately, Hugh and his friends were able to make it to the airport and safely board a flight to Athens, Greece.

It comes as Hamas, Australia’s recognized terrorist organisation, fired thousands of rockets into Israel on Saturday, surprising the country – which is celebrating a religious holiday.

About 2,200 missiles were fired, killing hundreds and injuring 1,500, making it the deadliest attack in Israel in decades.

The coalition said Israel had “every right” to defend itself, although opposition foreign affairs spokesman Simon Birmingham called for “all sides” to work together to protect innocent lives and end the violence.

Australia’s largest national representative body of the Australian Jewish community says calls for de-escalation by “both sides” are “misconceived and only play into the hands of terrorists”.

World leaders and diplomats were quick to condemn the Palestinian attack, including Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong.

“Australia unequivocally condemns Hamas attacks on Israel, including the indiscriminate shelling of cities and civilians,” she wrote on social media.
