Hugh Jackman has hinted at how he is doing following his split from Deborra-Lee Furness.
The Australian actor, 55, and wife, 67, announced their shock split in September after 27 years of marriage, telling fans they were separating “to pursue our individual growth.”
On Friday, the Hollywood heartthrob shared a series of close-up photos of his face to his Instagram account.
In the photos, Hugh looked pensive and dejected as he walked the streets of New York City.
“Completely too close,” he captioned his post, adding the hashtag “moods.”

Hugh was inundated with messages suggesting the actor 'looked sad' and sent words of encouragement to the newly single star.
'We've all been there. Totally get it. I hope your day gets better,” said one fan.
“You look a bit serious, Hugh,” said another.
“Your sunglasses make you look a little grumpy,” one fan commented, while another pointed out that “the newly single actor's brow is still furrowed.”
“Why so serious my love,” one concerned fan asked, and another noted that the photo looked more like a “mugshot” than a selfie.

“Where is that beautiful smile we all know and love?” added one concerned female fan, while yet another described his facial expression as “stern.”
Hugh is said to be going all out to get physically 'ripped' to reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool movie – and is considering his next Broadway role.
“Hugh is completely focused on Deadpool 3 and getting Wolverine into shape,” a source revealed exclusively to DailyMail.com last month.
'That means that he no longer hangs out with his ex and that he can no longer date. He is excited to be back at work and is excited to focus all his attention on that.”
The insider added that Hugh isn't against the idea of finding love again in the future, but has no plans to “pursue” it at the moment.
Insiders have revealed that the actor is distracting himself from grief by putting all his efforts into getting physically ready for the upcoming Deadpool movie.
“If a date comes up, he'll be happy to pursue it, but his priorities are elsewhere, and he's not expecting or pursuing new love,” they said.
“He's chasing getting ripped for Wolverine and working on movies and figuring out next time he'll do Broadway.”
The former couple have remained friends and the insider adds that Hugh plans to celebrate his ex's upcoming birthday on November 30.
The source said, “While they may not be in love with each other anymore, there is still a bond and a love between the two that will last forever.
“He'll still wish her happy birthday and they'll still talk around the holidays when it comes to anything about their kids. They're trying to figure it all out and try to do it as civilly as possible.”
The update comes after interest in Hugh's love life was sparked, with rumors swirling that he had found love again after posting a photo of himself walking through Central Park.
But a separate source shut down any talk about the actor, telling DailyMail.com: “He was in the park with his best friend.”
Hugh and Deborra-Lee married in 1996 after crossing paths on the set of Correlli in 1995. During their marriage, they adopted two children: son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 18.
A source previously told DailyMail.com that Hugh was in 'mourning' after their divorce and was keen to return to work – which came to a halt during the historic WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes.
'He is in that quiet period where he is still mourning the breakup, looking for work to take his mind off it, flattered that a new love life could happen in the future and also loving the fact that he can't do anything at all,” they said last month.
“The options he has are exciting and scary, he wants to respect Deborra's feelings and his feelings, and he also wants to respect the feelings of anyone he might be in a relationship with.
“Sure, he's interested in dating, but he also wants to put 100 percent of his focus on it, not on if or when that happens.”
