Hugh Jackman’s new girlfriend Sutton Foster teaching dance cardio class to benefit those impacted by LA fires

Hugh Jackman’s new girlfriend Sutton Foster is doing her part to help the victims and first responders of LA’s devastating and deadly fires.

The younger star, 49, is not only an actress of stage and screen, she is also a dance teacher at The Limit dance studio in New York City.

Sutton – who confirmed her romance with the X-Men star, 56, last week – shared a flyer for the fundraising course, which is available in person or on Zoom on Instagram.

‘Join us for a special dance cardio class on January 14, 2025 at 10am ET! All proceeds from this class will be donated to the SoCal Fire Fund! In-Person is SOLD OUT, but there are still plenty of spots available on Zoom,” the caption began.

“If you would like to donate but can’t attend a class, book a Zoom class and proceeds from your purchase will go to the SoCal Fire Fund!”

According to its website, “The SoCal Fire Fund provides immediate and long-term support to community-based recovery initiatives that assist students, school staff and families affected by the January 2025 fires.”

It comes after the Broadway veteran confirmed her romance with Hugh Jackman, 56, last week; the two appeared at the Drama League Awards in New York in 2022

The Los Angeles communities of Pacific Palisades and Altadena suffered tremendous losses in the Palisades and Eaton fires this past week.

Both fires broke out on Tuesday, January 7, fueled by Santa Ana winds that saw gusts of 80 to 100 miles per hour, making fighting the fire extremely difficult.

Together, the two Los Angeles fires have burned more than 35,000 acres and damaged or destroyed at least 10,000 buildings, including many family homes.

Sixteen people lost their lives in the fire and sixteen others were reported missing at the time of writing.

Things are going well in Sutton’s life with her new boyfriend Hugh.

The stage actors decided to make their romance public during a date night in Santa Monica last week, after years of speculation – after they both split from their respective spouses.

Hugh was married to Deborra-Lee Furness, 68, for 27 years before they announced their shock split in September 2023.

Sutton was married to screenwriter Ted Griffin for ten years before splitting in 2024.

Hugh and Sutton first met in 2008 when the actress starred in the musical Shrek, but they became close when they were cast opposite each other in the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man.

The friends subsequently bonded over their individual marital problems, but only began a romance once he was “out of the heartbreak that his relationship ended.”

Ultimately, they decided to make their romance public because they are no longer “interested in hiding their love.”

“Enough time has passed for Hugh to stop playing games and hiding his feelings and his relationship,” the insider said.

“They both wanted to be considerate of their exes and anyone who might be upset, but they’re not interested in hiding.

On Monday, the pair appeared to make their relationship official when they were spotted holding hands at a dinner date.

They were seen smiling and laughing as they enjoyed a night out in Santa Monica, California.

As Hugh and Sutton walked along the sidewalk, their hands were firmly clasped, occasionally turning to look into each other’s eyes.

Foster and Jackman have been awash in recent months with rumors that an affair between the two has scuttled their marriage; they will be seen in 2022

Their appearance comes after the Logan star attended a performance of Foster’s production of Once Upon A Mattress in Los Angeles this weekend, which had just transferred to the West Coast after wrapping up a New York run in late November.

It comes days after it was claimed that Hugh’s ex-wife Deborra-Lee was ‘relieved’ when she saw the pictures of Hugh and Sutton together, while insiders said she can now finally move on.

“Deborra-Lee feels a sense of relief to be honest with you,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.

‘She trusted her intuition and her intuition was right. She finally feels at ease after receiving confirmation that her fears and suspicions were justified.

“She can now completely close this chapter and move on.”

Hugh and Sutton previously shared the stage on Broadway when they starred in a critically acclaimed production of the classic musical The Music Man in 2022.

The friends subsequently bonded over their individual marital problems, but only began a romance once he was “out of the heartbreak that his relationship ended.”

“Things had been very rudimentary between Deborra-Lee and Hugh post-pandemic,” the insider continued.

‘Their relationship was not the same. Hugh had to move with his feelings.

‘He had such a special bond with Deborra-Lee, but that is now over and he has to do what is right for him.’
