Hugh Jackman’s new girlfriend Sutton Foster made a telling fashion statement as the pair went public with their romance on Monday.

The 49-year-old Broadway veteran and the 56-year-old X-Men star were spotted holding hands during a dinner date in Santa Monica, California.

In the photos, Sutton went for an elegant look, wearing a long, double-breasted cashmere overcoat.

It featured interesting details from military trench coats, including a storm flap over her left shoulder and epaulettes on her shoulders.

The Music Man star also donned a beautiful dark green maxi dress underneath, which flowed elegantly and reached her ankles.

She wore her shoulder-length, brunette locks sleekly styled, and she completed her look with a pair of sky-high black pumps.

Sutton’s glamorous shoe choice was a far cry from Deborra’s signature chunky shoes that she often wears during red carpet appearances.

Deb usually opts for black platform heels that appear to have a flat sole to provide support and stability.

Meanwhile, Hugh looked casual for the date in a charcoal zip-up jacket which he wore over a sleek gray jumper and chinos with dark sneakers.

He also had a wild salt-and-pepper beard and wore his hair rougher than usual.

As Hugh and Sutton walked along the sidewalk, their hands were firmly clasped, occasionally turning to look into each other’s eyes.

Reps for Hugh and Sutton did not immediately comment on their night out together.

The outing came on the same day as reports emerged that Hugh was planning to go ‘public’ with his new ‘girlfriend’ in the near future.

Hugh and Deborra announced in September 2023 that they were splitting up after 27 years of marriage.

Hugh and Sutton’s appearance comes after the Logan star attended a performance of Sutton’s production of Once Upon A Mattress in Los Angeles this weekend, which had just transferred to the West Coast after wrapping up a New York run in late November.

The two stars had previously shared the stage on Broadway when they starred in a critically acclaimed production of the classic musical The Music Man.

Sutton filed for an uncontested divorce from her husband Ted Griffin in October last year.

She had been married to the 53-year-old screenwriter of Ocean for ten years.

Sutton and Hugh have been inundated with rumors in recent months that an affair between the two has destroyed their marriage.

Fans had commented on how close they seemed to be in their off-stage interactions while appearing together in The Music Man.
