Jackman had previously revealed that the siblings grew up in different countries after their parents’ divorce.
Hugh was eight years old when his mother Grace left and returned to Britain from Australia in what he previously described as a “traumatic” experience.
The Hollywood star stayed in Australia with his late father Christopher and two older brothers Ralph and Ian, while his mother took sisters Zoe and Sonya with her.
“It was traumatic,” Hugh once told Who magazine. “I thought she’d probably come back. And then it just kept going.’

He said he didn’t realize until he was 12 or 13 that his mother wasn’t coming back, and that he saw her about “once a year” after she left.
“I remember her wearing a towel around her head and saying goodbye. (It) must have been the way she said goodbye,’ he said.
“When I went to school and came back, there was no one in the house. The next day a telegram arrived from England. Mom was there. And then that was it. My father prayed every night for my mother to come back,” he added.
Hugh, who shares children Oscar, 22, and Ava, 17, with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, has since reconciled with his mother Grace.
