Hugh Jackman shakes off the divorce blues as he tags along with Ryan Reynolds to support Taylor Swift’s new love Travis Kelce at Kansas City Chiefs game

Hugh Jackman was spotted arriving at a New York Jets game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday afternoon.

The 54-year-old artist joined Taylor Swift and his longtime friend, Ryan Reynolds, as they prepared to watch the hitmaker’s new love, Travis Kelce, with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The actor, who recently gave his fans a glimpse into his single life, kept it casual at the sporting event, which was also attended by Blake Lively and Sophie Turner, in a black jacket and an almost matching T-shirt.

Although he seemed to make the most of his time at the football game, Jackman is currently in the midst of divorcing his estranged wife, Debora-Lee Furness.

The performer and the 67-year-old actress first met in 1995 while working on the Australian television show Correlli.

The former couple made their union official the following year at a wedding ceremony that took place in a suburb of Melbourne.

Jackman and Furness adopted a son and daughter named Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18, in 2000 and 2005, respectively.

The two shocked many when they announced they had officially split last September.

The artists issued a joint statement People to confirm that they intended to go their separate ways.

“We are blessed to have shared a beautiful, loving marriage together as husband and wife for almost (three) decades. Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to pursue our individual growth,” they said.

Jackman and Furness also indicated that their divorce was amicable and that they were primarily focused on the well-being of their children.

‘Our family is and will remain our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness,” they said.

The two ended by writing that “this is the only statement either of us will make” about the end of their marriage.

Despite his split from Furness, Jackman remains committed to reprising his long-standing role as Wolverine in the upcoming superhero film Deadpool 3, in which he will co-star with Reynolds.

The performer previously made his debut as a Marvel Comics mainstay in the first X-Men film, which was released in 2000.

The actor reprized his role in several other X-Men films, and he also starred as a superhero in the 2013 standalone feature film The Wolverine.

The Tony Award winner’s most recent appearance as Wolverine was in 2017’s Logan, and he revealed he planned to retire before the film’s release.

However, Jackman, who first met Reynolds in 2009 and subsequently began an ongoing and friendly feud with his friend in the mid-2010s, revealed that he had decided to play the character again last September.

The 46-year-old actor will also return to his longtime role as a Marvel character in the upcoming film, which will be directed by Shawn Levy, who was also at the game.

Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand and Leslie Uggams are set to reprise their roles as Vanessa, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Blind Al, respectively.

New cast members include Emma Corrin, who will play a villainous character, and Matthew Macfayden.

The film’s production team also shocked many when it was announced that Jennifer Garner would be reprising her role as Elektra last July.

Principal photography on the feature began last May, with London serving as the primary filming location.

However, filming was paused following the start of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike in July.

Deadpool 3 is currently scheduled for release on May 3, 2024.
