Hugh Jackman reveals why going to an NFL game with Taylor Swift didn’t make him ‘feel great’ about his career
Hugh Jackman has revealed why Taylor Swift didn’t make him feel “good” about his career after he attended an NFL game with her last year.
Jackman, 55, made the comments during the world premiere of his new film, Deadpool & Wolverine on Monday
The Australian actor, along with his co-star Ryan Reynolds, was asked to attend a Kansas City Chiefs game last October to support Swift’s tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce.
Jackman, Reynolds, his wife Blake Lively and several other celebrities were invited to Swift’s VIP lounge to watch the game.
If you ever want to feel really bad about your career, go to [an NFL] “A competition with Taylor Swift and Blake Lively — and then you have Blake Lively, Taylor Swift and them at the competition,” Hugh told People magazine on the red carpet on Monday.
The X-Men star joked that he was being referred to as “and others” on various media sites that uploaded photos from the game night.
“We’re just ‘and others,’” Ryan joked.
The Deadpool & Wolverine co-stars were also asked if they would go to a game with the pop star again.

“I hope so,” Jackman replied enthusiastically.
Reynolds said, meanwhile, “You can’t say no to that.”
This comes as Jackman and Reynolds’ film looks set to have a triumphant opening weekend.
According to VarietyDeadpool & Wolverine — the first-ever MCU film to receive an R rating — is predicted by experts to gross $165 million in its debut weekend. That would be the biggest weekend of the year, and of any R-rated film ever.
Although Jackman has played numerous popular and acclaimed roles, both in the US and in his native Australia, he is best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men film series.

The first film, released in 2000, marked his breakthrough and Jackman returned in 2003 for the more successful sequel X2.
The original trilogy concluded in 2006 with X-Men: The Last Stand, but Jackman was back for more with a cameo role in the 2011 prequel X-Men: First Class, followed by his starring role in 2014’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
While Jackman often had a prominent role in the ensemble films, he also appeared in several spin-off films, including X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), the confusingly titled The Wolverine (2013) and the critically acclaimed Logan, in which he played an older, alternate version of the character.
