Hugh Grant, 64, packs on PDA with leggy wife Anna Eberstein, 41, as couple attends football match at Sinigaglia Stadium in Italy

Hugh Grant cut a dapper figure as he watched a football match with his beautiful wife Anna Eberstein at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium in Como, Italy, on Saturday.

The film star, 64, was photographed hand-in-hand with the Swedish TV producer, 41, as they made a stylish entrance ahead of the match between Como 1907 and Parma.

The couple appeared in good spirits and flashed a happy face on the way in, while Anna risked outdoing the famous actor in her chic ensemble.

Anna, who was born and raised in Sweden but moved to London after marrying Hugh in 2018, wore a red and blue checked miniskirt.

Putting on a leggy show, she also wore shiny tights and black heels, which enhanced her lithe physique.

The beauty added an elegant silky navy blue shirt, while Hugh opted for a pistachio blazer jacket and white shirt, finished with black trousers.

The lovebirds share son John Mungo, born in 2012, a daughter, born in 2015 and another daughter born in 2018 – although the names of the two daughters have not been made public.

After arriving in the stylish Italian city, the actor and Anna enjoyed the football match on the seats, rubbing shoulders with actors such as legend Andrew Garfield and French former footballer Raphael Varane.

The Love Actually star had a fascinating conversation with the football star, 31, throughout the match.

His appearance comes after the actor revealed he was ‘stuck’ in the upcoming Bridget Jones film after his character was apparently killed off.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show earlier this month, Hugh spoke about his new horror film Heretic, and discussed his parents’ opinions on his acting career.

Discussing his role in the fourth Bridget Jones film, titled Mad About The Boy, he said: ‘It’s a good and moving script – it’s extremely funny but very sad.’

He added: ‘There was no clear role for me, but I was fully into it. So we didn’t have 60-year-old Daniel Clever walking around looking at young girls. I made up a good interlude for him.’

During the show, he also discussed his parents’ opinions on his acting career, admitting that they were “not supportive at all” at first.

He revealed: ‘They weren’t supportive at all. My mother was a churchgoer and wanted me to become Archbishop of Canterbury! In their world, show business meant nothing.”

“I remember when Four Weddings and a Funeral came out, my mother went to a dinner party with like-minded people and when asked about her two sons, she said, ‘One is an investment banker and the other a movie star.’

He added: ‘Another guest said: “How interesting, which bank?” That’s the world I grew up in.’

The actor is best known for his leading roles in rom-coms such as Notting Hill, Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

However, with his new chilling psychological horror film, he will reinvent himself from Hollywood heartthrob to ‘slimy villain’.

The film, titled Heretic, which will be released on November 15, is written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the writers behind John Krasinski’s 2018 post-apocalyptic horror, A Quiet Place.

Dubbed his creepiest role yet, the British actor plays a man who kidnaps a pair of young female Mormon missionaries before subjecting them to a terrifying series of tests and games.

Discussing his new film, Hugh said: ‘I decided to play him as a trendy academic.’

“The movie is getting darker and darker, so I thought anything creepy would be doubly creepy if I made jokes at the same time.”

He added, “I didn’t want him to be the villain with the mustache, so I prepared by reading a lot about serial killers and cult leaders and even borrowing their looks.”

His appearance on the show comes after he revealed he only agreed to take part in the fourth Bridget Jones film after recasting his role.

The actor played love rat Daniel Cleaver in the first two films of the franchise, starring Renee Zellweger as the clumsy and hapless romantic Bridget Jones, and Colin Firth as buttoned-up lawyer Mark Darcy.

However, he did not reprise his role in the final film, 2016’s Bridget Jones’s Baby, where his character appeared to be killed off and Bridget became pregnant.

Instead, it saw American billionaire love guru Jack Qwant, played by Patrick Dempsey, competing for Bridget against Mark.

said Hugo Vanity fair: ‘I really couldn’t fit in with my character, he just didn’t belong, so I stepped aside.’

He revealed that he “loved the script” for the final part and admitted that “it made me cry,” but again, there was no room for his character.

Due to the strength of author Helen Fielding’s work Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, in which Bridget is a widow in her fifties with two children after Mark’s death several years earlier – and he wrote some scenes – he decided to return .
