Huge TV newsreader looks unrecognisable during rare interview nine years after quitting Channel Seven and moving to a farm

A leading TV newsreader appeared unrecognisable when she resurfaced for a rare interview this week.

The renowned Australian journalist was a guest on the Three Food Memories Podcast to talk about her career after quitting Channel Seven in 2015 and moving to a farm.

Speaking to presenter Savva Savas, she looked noticeably different from her best days as she recalled the moment she was filmed swearing in Greek on the radio.

The 57-year-old’s voice was widely recognized, but she wore a different look during her interview.

She showed off her new pony and wore a red flannel shirt as she candidly talked about her career.

The newsreader also talked about what it was like after she got her first journalism job on the radio in 1988.

But do you know who it is?

Yes, it’s Chris Bath!

During the interview, Chris spoke candidly about the moment she was filmed swearing in Greek on the radio and her boss’s reaction when the footage leaked.

“I was on set for Sunday night, which was a very serious news and current affairs program. And the floor manager and audio director had taught me some Greek words,” she began.

“Because it wasn’t on the radio and in the studio, I didn’t know it was being recorded.”

“Weeks and weeks later, I was called in to the news director. He showed me the video and asked me what I said.”

Chris left Channel Seven in 2015 after 20 years with the network.

In November 2016, she joined ABC Radio and presented the evening show until the end of 2019.

After her discharge, Chris moved to a farm with her husband Jim Wilson, who is also an Australian sports journalist.

The couple married in January 2012 after dating for three years.

Chris has a son with her ex-husband Denis Carnahan, whom she split from in 2008 after 10 years of marriage.

In the meantime, Jim had two sons with his ex-wife Jackie, but he sadly lost his youngest son to brain cancer when he was only five.
