Five people have been killed after a devastating avalanche on a 4,000-metre-high mountain in Iran.
The incident on Mount Oshtoran Kuh occurred after climbers were warned by local authorities of extreme weather conditions, which also left four injured.
Heavy rain and snow have hit San Boran Peak, the highest point in the area, in recent weeks.
Survivors who were discovered on Friday and had started climbing the mountain the previous day in Lorestan, 300 kilometers southwest of the capital Tehran, were taken to hospital.
Five bodies went missing in the landslide, two of which were found on Friday afternoon and three on Saturday afternoon Sun reported.

Despite being a relatively uncommon event in Iran, an avalanche north of Tehran previously claimed twelve lives in 2020.
The fatal incident comes just months after a similar event on the Armancette Glacier on Mont Blanc in the French Alps, which left six victims dead after being trapped in a 1,600-metre snow slide.
In another deadly avalanche in India, seven people were killed after a bus full of tourists plunged into a gorge during a landslide, hitting five or six vehicles.
