Huawei’s triple-folding phone has been spotted again and it looks remarkably sleek

Just a week ago, a photo surfaced of Huawei’s alleged tri-fold phone, and now we’ve seen another photo – this time of the phone folded up.

Posting on Chinese site Weibo (via GSMArena), leaker @WhyLab shared a photo of the still-unofficial device, and just like last time, the device is pictured in the hand of Huawei executive Richard Yu.

But where the phone was unfolded last time – to reveal the large screen – this time it’s folded all the way up, making it look more like a conventional smartphone. And despite having two folds (creating three distinct sections), it also looks very thin in this image.

This photo also gives us a glimpse of the camera block on the rear, which protrudes slightly and appears to have a similar circular design to the camera block on the Huawei Mate X5 – which is a more conventional foldable phone with just a single crease in it.

A big screen and an upcoming launch

We don’t know much about this upcoming phone yet, but it’s reportedly going to feature a massive foldable display measuring around 10 inches – made possible by the addition of that extra crease. We’ve also heard it could land sometime starting in September.

Normally we’d expect more information to have leaked if the phone is indeed this close to launch, but these photos suggest it could be almost ready.

But don’t count on buying it, as it’s unlikely this triple-header will be released globally. There’s certainly no real chance it’ll be available in the US, since Huawei doesn’t have a presence there.
