Aubrey Plaza’s debut on The Howard Stern Show was described as one of the “five worst ever.” Insiders claimed Stern “loathed” her every minute. After the interview, they subtly lashed out at the actress.

Plaza, 40, promoted her new film Megalopolis, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, on Stern’s eponymous Sirius XM show on Wednesday, but tensions were already rising before the interview even began.

Stern, 70, reportedly felt like he was “stringing together” the Parks and Recreation star, who he accused of being late, before asking her if she needed therapy.

“Howard was really excited to talk to Aubrey but it just wasn’t working. She wasn’t responding at all and it was a struggle for Howard to get anything out of her,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.

The source claimed that the Grumpy Cat actress was “uncooperative” with Stern’s questions and that “he would have gotten tough with her earlier and ended the interview.”

“But he kept trying to create something out of nothing, but unfortunately it didn’t work,” they add.

The radio host made a “covert attack” on Plaza, which many listeners may not have noticed, when he discussed the band Bad Company after their conversation.

“After the Aubrey interview, Bad Company came on and Howard mentioned the band, but that was a sneaky attempt to bring attention to Aubrey, who was bad company on the show,” the insider said.

“She just didn’t connect with Howard or the show or anything. It was just a complete disaster.”
