Alison Mosshart and Damian Lewis looked smitten as they cuddled up in the sea in St Tropez as the sun shone down on them yesterday – fans of the Homeland actor will no doubt be happy to see him smiling again after the tragic loss of his wife two years past .
Helen McCrory, known for her roles in the Harry Potter films and the BBC series Peaky Blinders, died in April 2021 at the age of 52 after being diagnosed with breast cancer, leaving behind Damian and their two children Manan and Gulliver.
Shortly after her death, Damian wrote a heartbreaking tribute to Helen in The Times, revealing that his late wife wanted him to find love again – his children jokingly said their mother ‘wanted Daddy to have lots of girlfriends’.
Just over a year after her death, Damian was spotted with Florida-born wild child Alison, 44, who has fronted rock band The Kills alongside Jamie Hince since 2001 and also starred in The Dead Weather with Jack White.

Talking to the Independent in 2020, before she started dating Damian, Alison talked about her wild days with her bandmate Jamie as she toured the US and performed at dive bars before even owning a cell phone.
She recalled that she and Buckinghamshire native Hince took turns driving across the country and got into all sorts of trouble — including being chased by police during a high-speed chase in Ohio.
She said, “Our hearts were racing. I was filming our conversation. We were talking. Then all of a sudden the smoke and dust cleared behind us and in the rearview mirror I saw the cop just standing there. We just yelled.’
After the pair were eventually apprehended by the police, they were taken into custody and made to hand over their money – leaving the pair so broke they ended up sleeping in their car.

Despite having a reputation as a party girl, Mosshart has denied taking drugs, saying she always preferred cigarettes, red wine and coffee.
When questioned about a 2011 comment her bandmate Hince made about her vocals, which had changed during their time in the band, she replied that she had no answer to what he had said, insisting: “No one tells me What do I have to do.”
Since the pair were first photographed together, they’ve been spotted on several sweet date nights across the UK and US – and were recently spotted together in New York City enjoying drinks outside while Damian relaxed with a cigarette.
