How to Use the Prayer Room Key in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

The Key prayer room is an important part of Fire Knight Queelign’s quest in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. You’ll need it specifically for the third and final stage of the Fire Knight Queelign mission in Shadow of the Erdtree, which can net you a sweet reward.

Prayer Room Important location in Elden Ring DLC

First of all, if you happen to come across the Prayer Room and you don’t have a key yet, don’t worry. You need to make sure you killed Fire Knight Queelign twiceand he shows up in two places you’ve almost certainly passed by.

Fire Knight Queelign first appears in Belurat. Fast travel to the Small Private Altar Site of Grace, go up the stairs past the knight with two swords and turn right. Follow the path to the end to the courtyard with a large tree and Queelign will barge in. Kill him once to get the first load of loot.

Then go to the Church of the Crusade in Scadu Altus. This is the enormous building outlined on your map, northwest of the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, the first you encounter after defeating Rellana, Twin Moon Knight. Once you enter the church, Queelign will attack again. Defeating him will reward you with the Prayer Room Key.

Where do you use the Prayer Room Key in the Elden Ring DLC?

After killing Queelign twice, you can find the prayer room in the church district of Keeping the shadewhich is located on the east side.

You can get there via the Specimen Storehouse or, if you enter from the east after passing through the Moorish ruins, Bonnie villageand beyond the Shaman village, you go up a long flight of stairs. This route is preferable, because from here it is a little easier to get to the prayer room.

You basically want to jump across the rooftops until you land on the roof in the middle of the flooded area, with a huge hole and some crossed beams to fall onto. Jump onto the beams and then fall back down to the ground floor. Don’t go towards the crabs, because in the other direction you’ll find the locked door to the prayer room. You can now open it and inside you’ll find Fire Knight Queelign curled up in a ball.
