How to use rockets in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Rockets are a new Zonai device that allow you to shoot into the sky and accelerate a vehicle into it The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Rockets may seem a bit one-dimensional, but using them creatively will change the way you traverse Hyrule. Read on to find out how to use rockets and learn about some methods you may not have thought of.

How to use the rocket in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The two main methods of using the rocket in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are via Ultrahand and Fuse.

Use missiles with Ultrahand

The main function of the missile while using Ultrahand is to launch your device vertically or horizontally. Attach a rocket to your creation with the tip of the rocket pointing in the desired direction. Board your craft and wave at the rocket to take off!

Rockets don’t necessarily have to be used to transport yourself – they can be used to launch objects to a location or at enemies. This is going to be a bit finicky, of course, as you’ll need to aim the object accurately, and if you’re doing this in the middle of a fight you may not have enough time to aim properly. If you see a Korok trying to get back to his friend, but his friend might be just a bit too far for you, try sending him off with a missile! If they don’t make it to their destination, you can always try again later.

Using missiles with Fuse

The other method of using missiles in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is through fuse. You can combine the missile with a weapon, shield or arrow, but the most important combination to focus on is the missile shield. To use the missile shield, hold up the shield by pressing “ZL” on your controller and watch Link become a one-man space crew as he soars into the sky.
