The Choir of one exotic catalysts are locked behind a quest chain in Lot 2 called “//Choir: Eternal.” You must “Encore” Exotic mission to access it and then find a series of secret chests to complete it.
In this Lot 2 guide, we teach you how to Livelihood catalyst for Choir of One and where you can find three of the secret chests in the Exotic mission “Encore” (out of seven secret chests total).
Remark: Like most Exotic missions, the rest of the Catalysts for Choir of One are timed for the next few weeks. We’ll update this guide with details on how to get the Destabilizing rounds And Attack Catalysts, as well as the four remaining secret chests in “Encore”, as they become available.
How to Get the Subsistence Catalyst for Choir of One
Once you complete the mission “Encore” and continue the quest, you can Banshee-44 in the tower and he will give you the “//Choir: Eternal” quest. This quest asks you to find the first secret chest in the “Encore” mission and then complete the mission on the Expert difficulty.
If Banshee doesn’t have the mission when you visit him, collect the secret chests we’ve listed below and complete the mission on Expert level. “//Choir: Eternal” is retroactiveand you can pick up the Subsistence Masterwork even if you didn’t have the quest in your inventory when you completed the steps.
How to Unlock the First Secret Chest in ‘Encore’
During your first run through the mission “Encore” in Lot 2you collect the NES007 monster once you reach Maya’s lab. Continue with the “Ascending Chorus: Act III” quest to complete the Specimen research, which will earn you the Conductor’s Imprint Codes research tool with Failsafe. This will allow you to return to the Exotic mission “Encore” and unlock new secrets.
Load the Encore mission (Expert is not required to find the chests, but if you’re going for the Catalyst you might as well) and proceed until just before the first puzzle. Instead of going right towards the CONNECTION node, go left.
You will end up in a room full of dead portals and a spire switch. Go to the switch and the room will come to life. Eventually, a bunch of cubes will appear in the air above the spire. Wait for a smaller cube to appear under one of the larger ones. This little cube is an indicator of which one to shoot first. Shoot the cubes in the correct order—popping the one above the small cube and then waiting for the indicator to reappear—until you’ve destroyed all four. This completes the first sync.
The cubes will then go to the four portals in the room. Again, be patient and wait for the small cube to appear and guide you. Destroy all four in the correct order to unlock the Additional Transit Nexus and get the first secret chest.
How to Unlock the Second Secret Chest in ‘Encore’
Once you reach the second puzzle room, before taking the elevator to the first portal node, you’ll see another access tower appear in the middle of your path (provided you’ve completed the first secret chest and unlocked the nexus). Head over to it to open the portal on your right, which will take you back to the hub. Walk into the nexus and take the other portal on your left to return to the start of the mission.
At the Radiolaria waterfall you will find another spire that you can enter. Do this and it will spawn multiple bronze plates around the arena to shoot at. To find them all, follow the faint white lines that connect each slab to the spire itself. When you see a slab, shoot it with a weapon.
There are five plates to shoot in total, and while none of them are hidden, they can be on the back of a building or otherwise positioned away from the spire. You have 90 seconds to grab them all, which is more than enough time for this small arena.
Once you hit the final plate, you’ll earn the “Vector Extension” Triumph, get some bonus loot, and receive Assignment Frame 2the upgrade to the Intrinsic perk for Choir of One.
How to Unlock the Third Secret Chest in ‘Encore’
Continue through the mission until you reach the end, just before you enter the boss arena. In Maya’s study, the Ishtar Research FacilityYou will find another spire once you have activated the first secret chest. Go there, go to it and a portal will appear at the back of the room. Go inside and cross the transit nexus to the portal on the other side of the room. Take it and you will appear in the Aberrant Code Containment area.
In front of you are five portals, a bunch of ACCESS nodes and two ACCESS modules. Above you are five purple blobs, some of which are shielded and have lasers pointed at them. Pop all five of those purple spots before any of them respawn, so they’re all dead at once. They seem to be on a timer, which makes doing this in a group considerably more efficient.
To pop them, all you have to do is shoot them. The problem is that you can’t shoot through the ceiling or through their square shields. So you have to go through the portals to get a view of the portals without shields first, which causes the shields around the others to disappear. The other problem is that the portals are all jumbled up and don’t directly correlate to the purple blob above them.
When you place an ACCESS module into an ACCESS node, it will light up the portal next to it. However, the portal will send a line to one of the red diamonds above the other portals in the room and light it up. This shows you where the portal will actually take you. So for example, if portal #1 is the leftmost portal and you activate it, it will draw a line to portal #4, which is the fourth portal from the left. Going through portal 1 will take you above portal #4.
Through trial and error, you’ll learn what each portal connects to. Once you’ve done that, look up at the ceiling to see which purple blobs are exposed and teleport your allies to the right spots to deal with them. Destroying all the blobs at once will spawn the secret chest in the middle of the room.
The only thing you have to worry about in this area is the legion of Vex that spawn here. They aren’t that hard unless you’re solo or an Expert, in which case you’ll either have to slow down to defeat them or have a dedicated add clear person.
We’ll be updating this guide with even more secret chests and catalysts as they appear!
