How to Unlock Prismatic in Destiny 2: The Final Shape

Prismatic is another kind of subclass in Lot 2and is exclusive to The final shape expansion. It is unique because it allows you to combine elements from other subclasses into one super subclass. It is also the only skill suite in the game that allows you to become Transcendent.

In this Lot 2 guide, I’ll give you a quick overview of what Prismatic is and how you can unlock it yourself.

Prismatic is a completely unique subclass type in Lot 2. Instead of offering new or unique abilities, equip this instead mix and match skills from other elements. So there are no Prismatic-specific skills, but you can, for example, combine Diamond Lance (Stasis) with Consecration (Solar) on your Titan. Or Bleakwatcher (Stasis) and Lightning Surge (Arc) on your Warlock.

It’s cool to be able to get multiple elemental buffs and deal damage with different types of skills the real reason you want to play Prismatic is to become Transcendent. Transcendence is a sort of mini-Super linked to Prismatic, granting you a special grenade when you activate it, in addition to increased weapon damage, damage resistance, and ability charging.

To activate Transcendence, you must deal damage with both light and dark skills and weapons to fill two different bars.

From The final shape, Prismatic only has one Aspect per element per class, so you can’t combine Sol Invictus Sun Spots with Banner of War, for example. But Bungie developers have said Prismatic will grow and evolve over time, so expect the unexpected.

Like Beach with LightPrismatic is locked at the back The final shape the expansion’s paywall, so you’ll need to purchase that if you want to use the new subclass. Without a sale, it costs $49.99.

However, unlike Strand (or Stasis before it), you don’t have to spend the entire amount Final shape campaign plagued by the new subclass. Without spoiling anything, you unlock Prismatic’s base form at the end of the first campaign mission in The Pale Heart of the Traveler. From then on, you’ll unlock new aspects and fragments to add to Prismatic, but Bungie will never take it away from you.

It’s currently unclear if Prismatic will ever become free for players like Stasis has.
