Facewearhave a separate compartment to fit in, just like glasses Final fantasy 14so you can wear hats And glasses.
This update was released in version 7.0 alongside the launch of the Dawn Path extension, so you can actually trade in your old glasses for the new facial accessories.
While these do get a spot on your loadout screen, they are for glamour only and provide no stat gain.
We explain below where to get face wear FFXIV And how to wear face protection correct.
How to Unlock Face Clothes in FFXIV
Facewear works like fashion accessories: you get one-time items that allow you to permanently unlock them.
If you already had some Level 1 glasses glams from before the 7.0 update, here’s how to trade them in for face shields:
- Take out all the glasses from your glamorous dresser.
- Go talk to A Disaster rescuerSelect the “Glasses exchange” option. This will automatically convert all your eligible glasses into face shields.
- Check which ones you passed character > facial clothing menu.
You can find Calamity Salvagers in any of the three main cities: Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (11.4, 14.4), Old Gridania (10, 8.4), and Ul’dah – Steps of Thal (12.6, 13.1).
Please note that some items may not convert in the way you would expect. Although we had the ‘pince-nez’ glasses, they did not trade for the ‘contemporary pince-nez’ glasses. Not all glasses are also transferred to 1:1 copies of themselves. I traded in the ‘classic glasses’ and got the ‘oval glasses’ facewear, which look quite different.
You can also obtain other glasses via the Golden dish from the prize claim supervisor (under the “Prize Exchange III” menu). The following glasses are for sale:
- Thick Rim Glasses (30,000 MGP)
- Contemporary Pince-nez (40,000 MGP)
- Frameless glasses (70,000 MGP)
- Minstrels glasses (90,000 MGP)
- Oval glasses (100,000 MGP)
With the debut of patch 7.0, there may be other glasses accessories tucked away behind NPC shops and rewards, but these are the ones we know of at the time of writing.
How to Equip Face Gear in FFXIV
To set your face clothes, simply open your face clothes menu from the character menu, select the color of glasses you want to wear, and select ‘equip’. That’s all there is to it.
If you find this tricky, make sure you don’t click on the ‘style’ of the face cover, but rather choose from the ‘colour’ section below.
Once you’re done, you can update your gear set and the face shield you selected will be saved with it, so you can wear different goggles with different outfits. Nice!
