FOR IPHONE USERS BASED ON iOS 17
A tweak to the settings filters unknown senders into their own folder. You can then turn off the notifications for these messages and enjoy a spam-free day.
1. Settings > Messages
2. Turn OFF ‘Filter unknown senders’
3. Settings > Notifications > Messages > Customize notifications > Allow notifications
4. Turn OFF ‘Allow Notifications’

FOR ANDROID USERS
1. Messages > Click on the three dots in the top right corner
2. Settings > Block numbers and spam > Caller ID and spam protection

– Make sure you unsubscribe from any spam that has already arrived
