How to skip the Diablo 4 campaign and jump straight into the Vessel of Hatred DLC
When you create and own your character Vessel of hatredyou can select a ‘campaign status’ on the same page, where you can name your hero and check the seasonal or hardcore boxes.
Click the box at the top to change your campaign status. You will then be presented with two options: Play the original Diablo 4 first experience or go straight to Vessel of hatred. Select the second option to start with Vessel of hatred and your character is plopped into the world, ready to take on the expansion’s adventure, as if you’ve already completed the original campaign. You can select this option even if you are playing on a brand new account.
Once you get the Vessel of hatred campaign in your account, you will be given a third option in this menu that allows you to skip the campaign Vessel of hatred campaign on any future characters.
Which Diablo 4 campaign status should you choose?
Which campaign status you should select should be entirely based on your experience with it Diablo 4 and the Vessel of hatred expansion, as well as your social circumstances.
If you are a completely solo player and dive in Diablo 4 played for the first time, from the beginning Diablo 4 and the grassroots campaign should be your top priority. The campaign not only introduces you to many of the basic ideas of Diablo 4but also the story. The Vessel of hatred campaign will make little to no sense without the original campaign (although there is a recap video that will help you remember the events if it’s been a while). The original Diablo 4 campaign is also very good and worth playing at least once.
What if you jump in? Diablo 4 to play with friends? In that case, you should go wherever they are. If they all want to play the original campaign together, great. But if they are already deep in it Diablo 4 and ready to jump in Vessel of hatredyou must go there. The original campaign is quite long, so it will take you many hours to catch up with your friends.
If you have a Diablo 4 normal or you beat the Diablo 4 campaign before you put the game down for a while, you should start with the Vessel of hatred campaign and get started with the new things as quickly as possible.
Once you’ve unlocked the ability to skip both campaigns and head straight into the open world of Diablo 4you should choose that version every season, barring social situations like playing the campaign with a friend.
