The Lighthouse puzzle is available once you’re done Dragon Age: The Veil Guard‘s prologue and reach the lighthouse, your base. You will find a door in the library with a mysterious note that says: “Three meetings, face-to-face, under heaven.”
This note refers to a multi-point puzzle set in and around the lighthouse. Initially you have to place three pairs of images opposite each other, but you also have to spot some strings.
Us Dragon Age: The Veil Guard guide will show you the complete Lighthouse puzzle solutionincluding where to find all three pairs of images (and how to orient them).
How to start the Lighthouse puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Once you gain access to the lighthouse, you can find the magically closed door. In the library – the main room where you hold all your meetings – you will find the door on the north wall.
The note next to it reads: “Three meetings, face-to-face, under heaven.” What this means for you is that the puzzle has three steps, each step will involve faces (or faces), and all the steps are outside in the courtyard.
Lighthouse statue puzzle solution
Exit the library to the workshop outside. Go right and walk around to the curved stairs. At the top you will find a statue that you can rotate. (Later you can and should play rock-paper-scissors against Manfred here.)
There’s another note here that says “To enter the library passage, three couples must meet in person.” So you have to find three pairs of images and make them point to each other.
Statues No. 1 location and position
Use the lever arm protruding from the base of the statue to rotate it so that it points east towards the dining room. If you look like this, you will see the statue that you have to point back to.
Go to the dining room and go to the right (south) side. Turn the statue there so that it points back towards the library to the west.
Location and position of statues No. 2
On the way back, go north and look at Neve’s study, but don’t go inside. To the right of the stairs to her room is a place where you can drop down and go under. Do that and you’ll find another statue to the north.
Turn it so it points west (back towards the library). Look that way to see another statue standing behind Belara’s workshop. It is much easier to reach; just walk along the left side of the building. Point it towards the east.
Statues No. 3 location and position
The last few images are back where you started. Go back to the library and go up the stairs to the first statue. This time continue until you are on the landing directly above the library door. There are a few statues there. Turn them so they are facing each other.
Go through the Music Room
When you go back into the library, the door on the north wall will open (more about the matching door on the south wall in a moment). Continue to get the music room.
Inside, pick up everything you can, then turn your attention to the door on the left (west side). It takes two strings open. One is floating there by the piano. Have it installed in one of the pedestals near the door.
The administrator will appear and tell you that: “There is another helper waiting, between the opposing gods.” (They leave a note saying the same thing.) While cryptic, all it means is that the next will-o’-the-wisp is at the last pair of statues: the one above the library door.
Go out and get it.
Return the will-o’-the-wisp to the music room and the next door will open, revealing a portal.
Stepping through it takes you to a high balcony above the library, a part of the lighthouse you wouldn’t otherwise be able to reach.
Before you do anything else, grab the bouquet from the balcony and place it in the new pedestal across from the portal. This opens a new portal that we will step through in a moment.
On the balcony, activate the device in the left corner. This will repair and restore the library’s astrolabe and, more importantly, discount the upgrades for the caretaker’s workshop.
Go back up the stairs and step through the second portal.
How to open the second locked lighthouse door
You step out onto a balcony above the observation tower. Open the chest and then take the floating crystal. Place it in the blasting machine.
Your job is to aim it at three crystals to free wisps. Those crystals are floating above three domes right in front of you.
Once all three will-o’-the-wisps are free and floating towards the library, head back. This time the door on the south wall opens, revealing (yet) another portal. Move on
Lighthouse puzzle rewards
This portal leads to the Wolf’s den high above the library. Take anything that isn’t nailed down, it’s not like Solas can use it anymore. There is another door here, but it only leads to a balcony with a great view.
