A Good Guys employee shared how you can score a discount on large purchases. The anonymous worker recommended just asking “is that the best price?”
The advice was “liked” by more than 1,100 people – and while some had “no idea” about the helpful tip, others shared their own experiences and asked for a better price.
“I got a $1500 TV last year for $900!” one wrote.

A third added, “Usually it might be just a few dollars off, but I just had a customer ask for it and his air fryer was reduced by $90 because we were the same price as Harvey Norman.” All with a simple question.’
Another admitted: “I wish we could do this in Aldi, Woolies or Coles.”

A former employee of Harvey Norman also endorsed the tip.
“After working for Harvey Norman, I refuse to pay full price. There is always at least 10 percent, maybe more if you negotiate well,” she wrote.
“Don’t tell if you’re putting it on financing until you close the deal. The larger the purchase, the larger the discount… There is always room for maneuver on a price.’
One customer wrote, ”The Good Guys price matched the dual tray ninja hot air fryer, for me it was about $90 cheaper. JB Hi-Fi is also great for price matching, they took almost $300 off a vacuum cleaner for me!”
An Australian customer previously revealed how to get a refund from JB Hi-Fi. TikToker, which goes by the name ‘Little Birdie’ (pictured), explained how the two-week price guarantee works
It comes after a woman shared a little-known JB Hi-Fi ‘hack’ to ensure customers save money on future purchases.
A shopper passing by’Little birdieonline said ‘everyone should know’ about the two week price guarantee policy.
If the price of a product drops within two weeks of a customer’s purchase, a refund of the difference in value will be offered to those who request it.
In a short video, the woman acted out a scenario between a customer and a JB Hi-Fi employee, explaining how all you need to do is ask for a refund and provide a receipt.
In the comments section of the short clip, JB Hi-Fi employees confirmed that the policy applies to all stores and is available to all customers.
