How to clean a dirty shower without scrubbing: Mom unveils a $3.50 purchase that effortlessly left her bathroom sparkling clean in minutes
- Mama cleaned her shower without scrubbing
- Andrea used the Ajax Professional Mold Remover cleaning spray
A mom has revealed how she cleaned her dirty shower screen with one affordable product – no scrubbing required.
Andrea, from the Gold Coast, said she was embarrassed to share how filthy her bathroom shower was, but the impressive transformation was “too beautiful” not to share.
Andrea revealed that she used the Ajax Professional Mold Remover cleaning spray, let it sit on the dirty walls for a few hours, then wiped off the excess.
“I forgot to go back and scrub after I sprayed this morning, but I didn’t have to!” she wrote.
“The second picture of a very dirty corner is where my son left his snorkel goggles hence the build up. Will attack the glass tomorrow, maybe even use the same product.’
Back in the day: The walls and corners of Andrea’s shower were originally covered in splatters of dirt and mold
After: Andrea used the Ajax Professional Mold Remover cleaning spray, left it on the dirty walls all day and just wiped off the excess
The walls and corners of the shower were originally riddled with splatters of dirt and mold, but the $3.50 cleaning product did wonders at removing the unwanted buildup.
In the comments Andrea said the extractor fan in the bathroom was broken and needed repair hence the mould.
But she didn’t mean to leave the cleaning spray on the surface all day.
She sprayed the product in the morning, but had to go to her husband’s hospital an hour away, and the sick cat with an eye infection was also taken to an emergency hospital in the opposite direction.
Despite the ‘chaos’, Andrea was satisfied with the end result.
The product can be purchased at Woolworths for $3.50.

Other parents were amazed at the transformation and thanked Andrea for sharing the product recommendation.
‘Don’t be ashamed! We all suffer from life sometimes, I will definitely look for this stuff in my next shop for my shower. Thank you so much!’ one wrote.
“I swear by this stuff it’s the best,” said another.
But some seemed concerned and encouraged Andrea to scrub the shower anyway to make sure the mold doesn’t return.
Cleaners also shared their professional tips.
‘As a cleaner you will definitely have to give it a good scrub. The mold will bleach out, but much of its buildup will still be on the tile and grout surface,” said one woman.
Another cleaner wrote, ‘I’m a cleaner, I suggest you buy a grout brush and give it a good scrub. Then pour vinegar over all surfaces to kill any mold spores. You really don’t want to inhale that
Please don’t use this on glass. You just need a glass cleaner sponge and squeeze to clean each glass. Chemicals like these will damage the glass over time,” another woman suggested.
A third added, “I’d spray again and let it sit, then scrub well, maybe with gumption, then rinse with vinegar or clove oil, kills mold and spores.”
Removing mold from your home should always be handled with care as mold can have serious health consequences.
