Tips for pickpocketing in AC Mirage

Pickpocketing is a quieter alternative to murder and does not leave a body that can be found by guards. This means that when you’re sneaking into tight areas and trying to find keys, it can often be easier to capture those doors than to kill their carrier outright.
The difficulty of the QTE – that is, the timid diamond – will vary depending on how intense the victim is. Civilian will probably be the easiest of the doors, while the guards may be trickier.
You can unlock art that will make pickpocketing easier: Pickpocket Master. It is about mediating Theft wood and costs four skill points. It will make a wider window, giving you time to effectively pull out the sheath.
If you fail the QTE, the victim will know you attempted to pick them up. If you shoot the garrison, they will immediately be enemies, while the civilian will shout the garrison. He usually gets away from this before the guard comes, but it’s best not to be surrounded if you can help it.

Pickpocketing can be a source of civilians Merchant or Scholar Tokens. You can also get money (or jewelry that you can sell for money).
Finally, if you’re struggling or simply don’t want to do a quick QTE, you can turn it off completely in the options menu. In On the Game tab, set “Pickpocket Guaranteed” to on. This automates the pickpocketing QTE.
