Moving your base in Palworld is not something you would initially think of, although the way in which Palworld allows for resource and level gathering, which means you’ll likely decide to join the fray and move on to more practical pastures, especially as you unlock advanced technology.
Like almost everything in Pocketpair’s open-world game, Palworld doesn’t tell you anything about how to move your base. The process is something you can do at any time, although it is a bit tedious. Here is how to move your base Palworld.
How many bases can you have in Palworld?
Palworld let yourself have it three active bases, but not at first. You can only have one base until you reach base level 10, at which point you can build a second one. Once you reach base level 15, you can start working on your third base.
How to move your base in Palworld
Palworld doesn’t give you the ability to pick up and move your base, not even the Palbox, so you’ll have to spend a long time doing it. You’ll have to dismantle the Palbox, which sounds more ominous than it actually is.
When you dismantle a Palbox, all your basic facilities are automatically dismantled. That includes things like egg incubators, Pal beds, farms, and anything else you can’t build without a Palbox gift. You will automatically be reimbursed for the material costs of each facility, but you will have to rebuild it the next time you establish a base.
Also, When you disassemble a Palbox, all working Pals are automatically sent to your box, even though you just disassembled that box. None of them get hurt and none of them disappear.
Workbenches, houses and anything else you can build outside of a base will remain intact, although you can dismantle them via the build menu.
The next step is to find a new base location, which can literally be anywhere on the map large enough to place a Palbox. Build your box, rebuild any other facilities you want, and you’re good to go. For suggestions on where to start, check out our guide to the best base locations in Palworld.
