How to make the glider in Enshrouded

a glider is essential to make ends meet Enveloped‘s Embervale, a vast realm that usually requires a lot of walking. While there are a few fast travel points – called Ancient Spires – their pointiness makes them perfect places to jump off with a glider and explore new corners of the world.

Us Enveloped guide will explain how to make the gliderand see what you need to create the two enhanced versions: the advanced glider and the extraordinary glider.

Your first glider can be created quite early in your game. You need:

  • 8 Shroud wood. Shroud wood is, take this, wood that you find in the Shroud. Not just any wood is Shroud wood. You need to find a tree completely covered in the Shroud and cut it down with an axe. The Shroud Wood that falls looks different from normal wood: it is grayer and more twisted.
  • 2 animal furs. The goats and wolves you encounter on the surface will drop these.
  • 2 string. String can be made manually (no workbench required). 2 vegetable fibers that you pick up almost anywhere.
  • 2 Shroud tracks. The humanoid Fell that populate the Shroud (and spawn at night outside the influence of your Flame Altar) will drop Shroud spores when you kill them.

Once you’ve collected the materials, head to your workbench to craft the glider.

That basic glider doesn’t have the best glide ratio – you lose a lot of altitude for the distance you fly forward – but it will revolutionize the way you get around.

That first glider will also last a while – at least until you start making it linen.

How to make the advanced glider in Enshrouded

Many things need to happen before you can create the next glider: the improved glider. You will need to find the Hunter and the Carpenter, and you will need to find the Hunter’s Hand Spindle.

The Hunter and the Carpenter can be found in their respective Ancient Vaults. You can find them as part of the quests ‘Hunter Becomes The Hunted’ and ‘Carpentry Assistance’. You’ll be tasked with finding the Hunter’s Hand Spindle in the Revelwood for the aptly named ‘The Hunter’s Hand Spindle’ mission.

Once the Carpenter, Hunter, and hand spindle are all in place, you can create the improved glider at the Carpenter with:

  • 6 Shroud wood.
  • 4 linen. Linen is made with the hunter’s hand spindle and requires 2 flax for each 1 linen. Flax is a purple flower found around the Revelwood biome in the north.
  • 4 string.
  • 8 Shroud bag. You will also find spitting plants around the Revelwood biome. You get poison bags from the regular, purple and orange bags. In the Shroud you will find similar plants that glow blue and fall Shroud bags when killed.

How to make the extraordinary glider in Enshrouded

Just like making the advanced glider, there is a lot of work you need to do before you can make it extraordinary glider.

The Hunter will ask you for one tanning bed from the Nomad Highlands to the east as part of her quest ‘In Need Of A Tanning Station’.

You must have gotten the Blacksmith’s Crucible as part of “Crucible Needed For A Smelter” and be able to craft copper ingots.

The Carpenter needs a table saw from the quest “Table Saw For The Carpenter” which takes you to Thornhold in the northeast.

You will need both the Alchemist’s mortar for “The Alchemist’s Mortar” (if you haven’t already) and the black kettle he asks for ‘A Black Cauldron For The Alchemist’. You can find his mortar in Lone Thistle, northeast of the Ancient Spire – Springland’s fast travel tower. It takes a lot more work (and more fighting) to find the black cauldron in Rattlebleak, far to the northeast.

When you return to the Alchemist with the black cauldron, you can get a alchemy station (20 baked bricks, 6 wooden planks, 10 nails, 3 wooden blocks, 5 copper bars, And 1 black kettle).

  • 4 Shroud wood.
  • 2 leather. Leather can be made at the Hunter’s tanning station 10 dried furs, 20 saltAnd 2 ammonia glands. For ammonia glands, go to the Shroud in the Nomad Highlands, northeast of your starting point. You are looking for the red walking mushrooms. Those creatures(?) drop ammonia glands when you kill them.
  • 2 linen.
  • 4 alchemical base. An alchemical base can be made at the alchemy station with 1 shroud fluid, 1 mycelium, 1 water, and 1 shroud spore.

Once you (finally – it’ll take a long time) have everything in place, go to the Carpenter to make the advanced glider.

How to equip the glider

Once you’ve created one of the gliders, you’ll need to equip it before you can use the wing suit. Go to the Character menu. The fourth slot on the left is for your glider. Open it and select the best one glider you made.
