Melbourne foodie Mel used a few basic ingredients ingredients to make air fried cinnamon ‘doughnuts’. You’ll need White Wings original pancake mix, Nutella, cinnamon, caster sugar and fresh strawberries
To make the mini doughnuts, Mel prepared the pre-made pancake mix and oiled a small silicon cupcake tray placed in the air fryer.
She carefully poured the pancake mix halfway into each mould to allow the doughnuts enough room to expand and left it to cook for eight minutes at 180C.
During this time Mel combined two tablespoons of sugar with one-and-a-half teaspoons of cinnamon into a bowl.
‘Once they’re cooked, take them out and coat them in the cinnamon sugar,’ Mel said.
‘I serve with fresh strawberries and Nutella.’
The short video has since been viewed a staggering 800,000 times as foodies worldwide loved the simple idea.
‘This looks sooooo good! Definitely trying this!’ one wrote, another said: ‘I wanna make this on the weekend’
Another offered an alternative suggestion and said: ‘Put a layer of Nutella in there in the middle, then when you bite into it gooey Nutella comes out.’
‘Yummmo I wonder if a slice of banana in the middle would be good,’ another added.
Of course, alternative topping can be used based on personal taste – such as maple syrup and banana, chocolate chips, or mixed berries and ice cream.
