Sand is a resource added to Lego Fortnite with the To go fishing’ update. If you find it, you can craft glass and new tools, such as the compass And viewer.

Where can you find sand in Lego Fortnite?
SandScientifically speaking it’s just hot soil (citation needed), so you collect it the same way. Go to one Dry valley desert biome or a beach and use one scoop (3 wooden bars, 1 shelf) to the ground. If you go to the desert, make sure you are prepared for the high temperatures.
When you pick up sand for the first time, you unlock the recipe for glass.

To turn sand into something useful, you have to take it to a metal smelter (5 clear core, 35 obsidian plates, 3 explosion cores). You can spin there 2 sand And 1 clear core go inside 1 glass.
By adding glass to your inventory you unlock the recipes for a viewer and a basic compass.
How to make a compass and binoculars in Lego Fortnite

You simply go to a craft bench to make both new recipes:
- Basic compass takes 2 glass And 1 dewclaw to make
- Viewer takes 4 glass And 1 knotroot fishing rod
The viewer works just like any other tool and you can connect it to your quick bar. The compass is added to your charms and equipment. Placing it there will add a compass to the top of your HUD.
How to make a survival compass in lego fortnite

After you create a compass, add a copper rod to your inventory to get the survival compass. For one of them you will need 5 glass, 1 sand clawAnd 1 buyer bar.
The Survival Compass replaces the basic compass in your charms and equipment. Plugging it in keeps the compass on top of your HUD and also adds markers for things like villages and caves.
