How to give your favorite photos and videos an AI-written soundtrack
You don’t have to write the perfect prompt to get Suno’s AI song creator to stop writing your music. The company has introduced a new feature called Suno Scenes, which can produce songs from photos and videos. The AI essentially writes a soundtrack to accompany the images, and Suno is confident the AI understands how to create the right melodies for a photo or video.
Suno Scenes uses its AI to tailor custom music to the images you upload, much like text prompts, where the music is tailored to the content presented. It’s a more advanced version of the way Apple and Google choose music to go with the random slideshows they throw together from your photos and videos. The difference is that every musical accompaniment from Suno is brand new and does not come from the catalogs used by Apple and Google.
You’ll need the Suno app on iOS to access the new feature, although the company is working on adding it to the Android app as well. After opening the Suno app, you can access Suno Scenes through the camera mode. Then just take a photo or video, and Suno’s AI will complement the result with a number.

“Whether it’s a beautiful landscape, a candid selfie or a quick video of your daily adventures, Suno Scenes takes your favorite photos and videos and creates a unique song,” Suno explains in a blog. after. “We know that every moment tells a story, and we know that many of you love telling stories through your camera. With Suno Scenes, many more creators around the world can inspire new types of Suno songs through captured memories and visual content. Suno Scenes makes it more fun than ever to create shareable content, allowing you to express your creativity in new, exciting ways.”
Suno Scenes adds a new layer to the AI music platform, potentially giving it an edge in an increasingly crowded field. While Suno faces rivals such as Tad.AIUdio, Boomy and others, will want a way to differentiate themselves. That is the origin of many of the recent developments. For example, Suno recently debuted one genre remixer called Covers that reinterpret your songs in different new music styles. The same goes for the mobile app where these new features appear.
As short-form content continues to dominate platforms like Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, features like Suno Scenes can give users a new way to differentiate their content with custom soundtracks. This especially applies to YouTube’s new tool, which can do that to delete copyrighted music from your video without removing it completely. Of course this doesn’t make it through lawsuits Suno and other AI music platforms are less likely to be hit with major music labels for copyright infringement.
