When you first arrive in Battahl you will likely be on a quest called ‘Nation of the Lambent Flame”, which will send you to the capital Bakbattahl. If you look around, near the Flamebearer Palace, you will find a Spellseal Door preventing you from going further south to the volcanic island of Agamen.

To unlock the Flamebearer Palace Spellseal Door, you must play the main story through the mission ‘A New Godsway’ (two quests after ‘Nation of the Lambent Flame’). You then get “The Protector Gigantus‘ as your next quest, which will send you to the door.

Follow the quest marker to the stone door, interact with it and it will finally open for you. Be warned: opening the Spellseal door will reveal a large boss that you must chase in the new area. Open the door only when you are ready for the next mission and immediately go to Agamen Volcanic Island.

If you don’t want to go through the main story to reach Agamen Volcanic Island – perhaps because you’re just looking for some callings – you’ll have to follow the return route: Drabnir’s cavea large cave in the south of Battahl.

To reach Drabnir’s Grotto, exit the gate of Bakbattahl and head outside go south via the roads. (You can also take Bakbattahl’s pulley platform system to the intersection and then take the south platform the rest of the way.) Continue along the south path until you find an armored cyclops guarding the cave entrance. Kill him, ignore the NPC warning you to stay out of Drabnir’s Grotto and enter.

Drabnir’s Grotto is a fairly large cave with many side tunnels. However, there is only one way through and the game maps where you have been before, so you can’t really get lost. There are no big, scary bosses here. Just some goblins, rattlesnakes, slime and a cyclops. If you enter one of the open-air areas on the cliffs, you may also encounter a griffin.

As long as you’re around level 30 and you have healing supplies, this cave shouldn’t give you much trouble as it will be slightly more of a gauntlet than the rest of Battahl.

Once you leave Drabnir’s Grotto you are just a short walk from the volcanic island of Agamen and the route to the Volcanic island camp. Just make sure to drop a portcrystal somewhere on the island. It will be a huge pain to come back here until you open the door.
