How to get to Rito Village in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomdo you have to go to the Rito village as part of the quest in the main story, but once you get close you realize that the bridge to the village has been completely destroyed by the blizzard.

From Lookout Landing to Rito Village

It’s not too bad to get to the Rito Village area itself, as you can take any road (be it on horseback, on foot, or on some horror making a Zonai device) along this path, if you choose to:

That said, you can also just skip the trail, climb mountains and cross the canyon on your own.

Once you get close, you’ll see a broken bridge that prevents you from actually entering Rito Village.

How to get to Rito Village from the broken bridge

If you want a whole adventure, you can head to the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower, which is north of Rito Village, and just slide in from there. However, that is certainly not the solution of the game want to which you have to take because it’s longer and a bit more of a pain in the butt than what you should.

To cross the broken bridge outside Rito Village, get one Hylian Pine Cone from a nearby tree and drop it on the campfire for the broken bridge.

This will create a huge updraft for you to drive and safely cross the bridge. You will also learn this great trick in the process: Hylian Pine Cone + Campfire = Updraft! (Who still needs Revali’s Gale, amirite?)

You can also just build a horribly long bridge from logs from felled trees, but… we only recommend using the Hylian Pine Cone.

We do recommend purchasing the Rosporo Pass Skyview Tower sooner rather than later as the map of this area will remain locked until you do, and dealing with an empty map is annoying.

After arriving in Rito Village, you can go upstairs to talk teba to start the “Tulin of Rito Village” quest.
