How to get the Zora Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Zora armor set in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers slightly less defense compared to the base Hylian armor set, but nothing compares to its benefits when you’re swimming – or when you want to look good for Prince Sidon.

You will find the first piece of the Zora Armor set during the quest for the main story “Sidon of the Zora”. The other pieces have their own special side missions to complete after you’re done saving Zora’s Domain (again):

  • Zora Armor: Allows you to swim up waterfalls.
  • Zora Kanen: Increases your swimming speed.
  • Zora Helmet: Gives Link a spin attack while swimming.

The Zora Armor chestpiece is pretty easy to get – and super useful if you want to get to the Upload Zorana Tower. However, the other pieces take a little more work to find.

Us Tears of the Kingdom The Zora Armor guide will help you find all three Zora Armor locations and also walk you through the steps required to complete the corresponding quests.

Zora Armor Chest Piece Location

Once you reach Zora’s Domain, you can complete the main quest “Sludge-Covered Statue” and start the main quest “Sidon of the Zora”. When you meet Sidon’s betrothed, Lady Yonain the Zora’s Domain infirmary, she will say she has the Zora armor for you, but has one old arowana to fix it. This starts the “Restoring the Zora Armor” main quest.

You can find this fish by finding Dento, as Yona suggests, or by returning to the Great Sky Island, both of which are described in more detail on our page of ancient arowana sites.

Wherever you collect the ancient arowana, return it to Yona in Misha’s Court, and she will give you the Zora armor brisket. This gives you the opportunity to swim up waterfalls.

Zora Greaves location

After completing the main quest “Sidon of the Zora”, go to Zora’s domain and speak up Jonah again. She wants you the Zora Kanen as a reward for your efforts, but she won’t be able to pinpoint where they are – only that they’re in the Ancient Zora waterworks. This starts the “A token of friendship” she quest.

Go to the Ancient Zora waterworks through the whirlpool in the East Reservoir Lake east of Zora’s Domain.

Drop through the hole in the bottom of the water pipe to get one Stone talus. You don’t have to fight it, but it will drop a lot of valuable ore if you defeat it, along with one luminous Stone Talus heart.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Link in the Ancient Zora Waterworks runs past a waterfall with an arrow pointing to a cave behind it. The Zora shin plates are in a chest in the cave.

Look for a cave behind a waterfall to the southwest of where you’re fighting it. You will find a chest with the Zora Kanen up a flight of stairs behind that waterfall (3585, 0247, -0103). The greaves increase your swimming speed.

Zora Helm location

Back in Zora’s domainyou will find two Zoras with the name Khira And chroma in the throne room complaining about not being able to find the Zora Helm. Listening to them begins “The Never Ending Reading” she quest.

The fish that Khira and Chroma talked about is not an actual fish, but rather a place – specifically the Floating Scale Island which you visited during the main quest ‘Clues to the Sky’. Travel quickly to Ihen-a-shrine and then paraglide east to land on the island.
