How to get the Miner’s Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Navigating the depths The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a dangerous (and dark) proposition. Fortunately, there is an armor set that will help you – the Miner armor set make Link glow.

Us Tears of the Kingdom The Miner’s Armor guide will help you find all three parts of the Miner’s armor set: the Miner’s Top, Miner’s Trousers, and Miner’s Helm.


Miner’s Armor sets old map locations

As you explore the Sky Islands in Tears of the Kingdomyou will find Old maps in chests. Picking one up will make an X appear on your map pointing to the location of a chest elsewhere in the world (or Sky of Depths).

Three old maps show you the location of the three parts of the Miner armor set. Note that you don’t need to find the old map to find the corresponding chest, so you can skip all this and just head to the actual armor locations.

Miner’s Top Old Map location

The Old map which leads to the Miner’s Top is found in a chest in the West Hebra Sky Archipelago in the northwest. Look for a small island on the northern edge of the archipelago to find the chest (-3860, 2921, 0747).

The old map leading to the miner’s pants is also on the West Hebra Sky archipelago. On the big island around it (-3850, 2728, 0544)you will have to fight against one Flux construction 1. When defeated, it drops a chest containing the old map.

Miner’s Helm old map location

The old map pointing to the miner’s helmet is located on the northernmost and westernmost island of the Rising Island chain above the Hebra Mountains. You’ll find the chest with the Miner’s Helm Old Map on it (-3490, 3518, 0930)

If you go into the depths you will find the X that the old map put on your map west-southwest of Iayusus Lightroot in Daphnes Canyon Mine (which is located directly below Mount Daphnes on the surface).

There’s a whole structure there, but you’re looking for a chest at the very top. It is under a small stone roof (-1075, -0558, -0514)and contains the Miner stop.


Miner’s Armor legs piece location

The old map from the Flux Construct places an X on your map to the west-southwest of Koradat Lightroot in the Hylia Canyon Mine.

Paraglide from the natural bridge just south of Koradat Lightroot down and west. You will find another ruin there. You will find the chest with the Miners pants along the southwest edge of the mine surrounded by cat bee (-1287, -2250, -0707).

The X of the old map is just slightly northeast of it Tatayam Light root in Abandoned Kara Kara mine (a little west of the Great Abandoned Central Mine).

Turn northeast from the lightroot and the chest with the Miners rudder is in the middle of the circular ruins straight ahead (-3230, -2476, -0475).


The upgrade cost of the miner’s armor, set bonus, and effect

When equipped individually, the armor gives you a stack glow buff, illuminate the area around you. If you upgrade all pieces to at least two stars or more and equip them, you will get one Shining Steps set bonusleaving little lit puddles where you walked.

You can upgrade the pieces of the miner’s armor at a large fairy fountain in exchange for the following materials:

  • 1 star (5 defense): 3 Brightbloom seeds, 10 rupees
  • 2 Stars (8 Defense): 20 Brightbloom seeds, 5 Brightcaps, 50 rupees
  • 3 Stars (12 Defense): 15 Giant Bright Flowering Seeds, 5 Glowing Cavefish, 10 Deep Fireflies, 200 Rupees
  • 4 Stars (20 Defense): 20 Giant Brightbloom Seeds, 3 Diamonds, 10 Large Zonaite, 500 Rupees

To fully upgrade this armor, you will need 69 Brightbloom Seeds, 105 Giant Brightbloom Seeds, 15 Brightcaps, 15 Glowing Cavefish, 30 Deep Fireflies, 9 Diamonds, 30 Large Zonaite, and 2,280 Rupees.
