How to get thalamus in Hades 2
Thalamus is one of the many ingredients in Hades 2 which you need for incantations. But unlike some of the more common resources, such as nightshade or moly, thalamus and the origin seeds needed to get it are a little more elusive.

You need thalamus to cast’The unraveling of a fateful bond‘incantation that allows you to survive on the Surface (and get some bronze for unlocking all the weapons). You need two of the four ingredients to make this incantation: lotus, nightshade, moss, and thalamus.
Moss is easy enough to find. Just go to the surface and look for little green spots on the ground. Pick them up before the curse kills you, and repeat that process until you have two.
Thalamus It is much more confusing to get it because you cannot find it in the lonely place. To grow thalamus you need origin seeds.

Thalamus is not a plant that you can randomly find and pick, like moly or the aforementioned moss. Instead, it is a plant that you have to grow, like nightshade. Origin of seeds are only found in the realm of Chaos.
Grab yours Silver Spade tools and your favorite weapon and dive into an Underworld run. Continue until you find one Chaos Gate, which takes you to the realm of Chaos. Stop by for a visit and you should find a pile of dirt somewhere in the realm of Chaos. Use your Silver Spade to dig up some origin seeds.
You’ll need two seeds to complete this quest, so keep visiting Chaos until you get both.

With two origin seeds in your small bag, return to the intersection. Plant your seeds in the ground that you should have already unlocked through an earlier incantation, ‘Flowering Ground’. Take origin seeds seven times to grow, so head back to the Underworld for another run, or head to the surface for seven quick but doomed encounters.
Once your Origin Seeds are fully grown, you can harvest your thalamus and complete the Unraveling a Fateful Bond incantation, finally exploring the surface in Hades 2.
