How to get Jack-o’-head weapons, upgrade requirements
Get the Jack-o’-Head weapons on Monster Hunter NowFor the Halloween event, you must first earn 10 Pumpkin Tickets.
Here’s how humanity looks in the game minimi_249 on Twitter / X:
Upgrading the armor then requires additional Pumpkin Tickets, which can only be obtained from the Halloween event. Developer Niantic said that once you’ve lost 70 Pumpkin Tickets on Jack-o’-Head armor upgrades, further upgrades will only return regular crafty items. As such, this is a good number to request if you prefer to continue upgrading after the event ends.
Jack-o’-Head explained the art of weapons
When equipped, he has a Jack-o’-head armor Solidarity (Cumpkin Hunt). This is part-based knowledge where having Multiple players active skill increases attack power. In the event of Halloween, this effect is increased by five.
As such, this is a more situational skill, so not only do you need to hunt with other players, but this will see a lot of use during the Halloween event (which ends after Oct. 31).
It’s entirely possible that this technique will be used in future pieces of armor to increase its power (as it will happen on next year’s Halloween), so it’s now a healthy investment for those looking to play with other hunters. Otherwise, for solo players, it could simply add a piece to your collection, especially if the ability to transmog (change the appearance of weapons) comes to the game one day.
Where to find the pumpkin rock Kulu-Ya-Ku in Monster Hunter Now
A Halloween-themed Kulu-Ya-Ku holding a pumpkin rock “will appear in more places than usual” from Saturday, Oct. 28 at 9 am local until the end of Oct. 31.
By its very nature, Kulu-Ya-Ku appears in all three areas (Forest, Desert and Swamp) meaning anywhere on the map.
Beyond the novelty of fighting a Halloween-themed monster, dropping these unique pumpkin rock Kulu-Ya-Ku will earn you Pumpkin Tickets.
Niantic has confirmed that any pumpkin rock tagged with Kulu-Ya-Ku will continue to be painted with colors during the event, so the Pumpkin Tickets will expire after the event – giving you extra if needed.
