How to get past the first ghost in Animal Well
A blocky, blue one ghost is the first enemy you encounter Animal welfare. You’ll encounter it just a few screens into the game – just to the right of the first phone save point.

First haunted location in Animal Well
When you reach Animal welfareAt the first save point of the game you’ll see the squirrel on the left (he runs to the right), but if you walk that way you’ll reach a dead end. If you go two screens to the right, you’ll encounter your first enemy, a blue ghost, guarding a pendulum.
How to solve the first yellow button puzzle
Getting past that ghost is a bit of a puzzle and requires you to solve some sort of puzzle found everywhere Animal welfare. To solve this problem you need to:
- When you see the ghost, go right and then jump onto the ledge above you and go back left.
- Jump across the platforms at the top of the screen as you continue to the left.
- Back in the room with the telephone, wait on the platform and then drive to the left – there is a narrow passage on the edge.
Continue left and you will arrive at the first yellow button of three. Drop off the edge and hold right so you land on the level below you. Use the stool to raise a platform from the water. Jump on it and go left to get the second yellow button.
It’s hard to see, but there’s a hidden passage right next to the button you just pressed. Drop into the small hole and go through it on the left. You’ll wind through a few hallways until you finally reach exactly below the point where you started – and on the third yellow button.
Where can you find fireworks in Animal Well?
Use the crank to raise the platform again and go through the door you just opened. Choose the fireworks in the next room and then drop down the left side.
Jump over the islands and go right. In the next room you will find another ghost. Throw a firecracker with X. You may have to throw a second one if your first one lands in the water. When it goes off, it will kill (scare into non-existence?) the ghost.
Continue right.
Climb up the right wall and you will return to the room with the telephone. Go back to the first ghost and blast it. Now you can use the crank to raise the platform and continue beyond to find the map.
