How to get free coffee across Australia this week

7-Eleven is handing out free coffee and slurpees to their customers on Tuesday, in celebration of their national holiday: 7-Eleven Day.

Regular coffees and large Slurpees will be offered all day, with 740 stores across the country participating in the festivities.

This year, the plan is for only paying customers to get the freebies, which are available with every purchase.

Julie Laycock, GM Customer & Insights at 7-Eleven revealed that the popular day is an opportunity for the company to reward customers.

“What better way to do that than with their favorite drink, on the house?” she asked.

‘We are proud to serve over a million cups of freshly ground coffee every week, using Fairtrade-certified coffee beans. Add to that our famous Slurpees and our stores are on track to serve 100 million drinks this year,” she says.

“It’s an incredible figure, driven by our customers, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to them on the seventh of the eleventh with the products they truly love.”

The festivities kick off with a 7-Eleven branded hot air balloon taking to the skies over the city of Melbourne at sunrise, fueling the party atmosphere.

Throughout the day, brand loyalists from across the country will have the chance to win one of 12 prizes worth $711 each.

The contest rewards the most creative 7-Eleven Day celebrations shared across social channels using the hashtag #7ElevenDay and the tag @7elevenaus.

The brand revealed some of the cheapest ways to get a free coffee or slurpe, including by using a Chupa Chup for just 25 cents or a Freddo Frog for 50 cents.
