How to get fertilizer in lego fortnite

Fertilizer is a resource you'll need to find in Lego Fortnite if you want to do any farming – something that will make exploring the Hot and Cold biomes a lot easier. You don't need it to improve your village or make better weapons and tools, but having it will make your life a lot easier.

Our Lego Fortnite guide explains how to get fertilizer and what you will use it for.

How to get fertilizer in lego fortnite

There's no delicate way to put this, but just like in the real world, fertilizer in Lego Fortnite comes from the back end of an animal – specifically chickens, sheep and cows. You'll find it on the ground in areas where they hung out.

There is no secret to collecting it. You just have to wait near some animals and eventually they will produce some.

Dropping food that the animal likes to eat – such as vines, fruits and vegetables – power make them drop some fertilizer faster, but it seems pretty random. Just wait for them and check the ground around them.

What do you use fertilizer for in Lego Fortnite

You need fertilizer for just one built-in Lego Fortnite: a garden plot (1 fertilizer And 2 ground). You can easily obtain the soil by literally digging everywhere with a shovel. You'll find the garden plot at the bottom of the Utilities tab in your build menu.

Garden plots allow you to grow your own food from seeds by transferring the seeds to the plot where the soil is stored. As you explore, you'll find seeds in chests, or you can make them from fruits or vegetables at a grain mill (20 knotwood fishing rod, 20 granite slabs, 3 shells).
