To get explosion powder in lego fortnite you need to get the skeletons wearing cowboy hats and bandanas. (It is possible that other enemies drop blast powder, but these enemies were very easy to find with little preparation and spawned regularly. For these reasons, we will help you find these specific enemies.)
To find these enemies, you'll need to start by going to the “dry valley” desert biome at night. If you're not prepared for the heat, that's no problem. These enemies only spawn at night, so you don't have to worry about the desert heat. You don't need any special charms or equipment; Be sure to bring some torches so you can see and keep your character a little warmer at night.

Run around until you find the skeletons wearing cowboy hats and bandanas. They shouldn't be difficult to find, as they tend to spawn in groups and you can see the glow of their torches from a distance. Once you find a group, fight them. I used the uncommon longsword and easily fought with it myself. Only a few swings are needed.
Not every skeleton wearing a hat or bandana will drop blast powder, but I found that we could easily get one to three kegs of powder for each group I fought.
