How to get coal in Palworld

In Palworldyou need coal to create carbon fiber and refined metal, both of which are needed for essential technology such as high-performance orbs and weapons.

Read on to find out where to find coal Palworld and some prime locations to extract the resource.

How to get coal in Palworld

The easiest place to get coal is the desert near the center of the map and the Verdant Brook, the area south of the snowy mountain:

In the desert, look for large black rocks that are darker than your usual stone node and more monochromatic than your ore nodes.

Coal can be mined with any pickaxe, but a higher level pickaxe will make the mining process a little faster. There aren’t many teleport points in the desert, so lugging coal back and forth to your base can be a bit tricky. To combat that, here are a few top locations to place a spare Palbox so you can easily travel to your base quickly.

Coal sites in the desert

There are two locations in the desert with five coal nodes close together, but don’t forget to wear your heat-resistant armor during the day and your cold-resistant armor at night.

The first location can be found at the coordinates (-157, -92). Be careful, as Alpha Pal boss Anubis may be roaming nearby.

The second location can be found at the coordinates (-97, -120). This location is located on top of a rock formation, so it is relatively safe from basic attacks.

Coal sites in the Verdant Brook

For both locations in the Verdant Brook we recommend that you take a flying horse, otherwise you will have to do a lot of climbing.

The first and probably best location for finding coal can be found at the coordinates (189, -40). This location has that too eight ore nodeswhich will certainly help your bulb production.

The second location can be found at the coordinates (290, -20). Unfortunately, this location doesn’t have eight ore nodes right next to the coal, but they are there seven ore nodes just a short trip east.
