Every now and then in Lego Fortnite you load into the world while cutting through furniture, the floor or even the landscape. This floor fault is a frustrating bug, but there is a way around it. Kind of.

How to fix the floor error in lego fortnite
There seems to be something about how Fortnite saves your position when you leave the game causing the glitch. If you stand on top of something, there is a (small) chance that you will get stuck when you load again.

What you do next depends on what you're stuck in. If you're stuck in furniture or a floor you've built, you can probably destroy it with your hands or a pickaxe. Breaking through whatever you're stuck in seems to free you quite reliably.
However, if you're stuck in the landscape, it's a little trickier. (It seems to be especially common if you're standing on a rock in the desert biome.) You probably won't be able to push or dodge your way through your prison. In that case you will have to respawn.

In the pause menu, scroll to Menu – third from the bottom. It's the same tab where you find Settings. At the bottom is the option to respawn. This is a consistent way to escape the ground if you're stuck, but it will essentially kill you. You drop your backpack and come back to wherever your bed is.
How not to get stuck in the floor in Lego Fortnite
Since it's an issue and not particularly common, you probably won't need to adjust the way you play much. In general, just like your mother told you, don't step on furniture when you quit the game. And leave the game standing on the ground and not on rocks whenever you can.
