How to find eggs and build the egg incubator in Palworld

Shortly after loading in Palworldyou will encounter Eggs. These eggs can be found everywhere and come in different sizes and elements. As expected, friends can be hatched in these eggs, but you will need one incubator for eggs First.

Below we explain how to find eggs, how to make an incubator and how eggs work in general.

Where can you find eggs in Palworld?

You can find eggs at fixed spawn points all over the map. After you pick up an egg, another egg will eventually appear in that spot. You can use an interactive mapping tool to point you to the hundreds of eggs on the map.

The eggs that respawn at this point are random, so you might find a moist egg in one spot one day, only to find a green egg there the next.

Please note that eggs come in three sizes: normal, bigAnd enormous – and they weigh more the bigger they are.

You can also breed your friends once you reach level 19 and the breeding. After successfully pairing two friends of the opposite sex and feeding them cake, they produce an egg.

How to unlock the egg incubator and hatch eggs in Palworld

To hatch eggs you need a incubator for eggs. You must be at least level seven and you will need an Ancient Technology Point (obtained by defeating bosses such as Zoe and Grizzbolt or the large Chillet on the map) to unlock the egg incubator recipe.

Once you’ve unlocked the recipe, you can build the egg incubator using 10 Paldium fragments, five fabrics, 30 stones, and two ancient civilization pieces. You can get the parts by defeating bosses (same as the points).

Once you have your incubator set up, you can put in any eggs you find, but there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Once you start hatching the egg, taking it out will reset the incubation timer.
  • Eggs hatch faster when they feel comfortable with the temperature. Scorched eggs want the temperature to be higher, while frozen eggs want them to be colder. You can build campfires or other temperature-changing objects to house the eggs.
  • The time it takes for an egg to hatch depends on your server settings, the size of the egg, and the aforementioned comfort level. At the default settings for Normal Mode, eggs should take no longer than two hours to hatch, but this can be changed in your settings.
  • Each egg you hatch will yield a level one friend.

What you get from eggs in Palworld

Every element in it Palworld has an egg that matches it and a friend that matches the type hatches. After hatching from a moist egg you can get a Celaray or a Fuack, for example.

The different types of eggs correspond to the following elements:

  • Scorching egg: Firework
  • Green egg: Grass
  • Rocky egg: Ground
  • Electric egg: Electric
  • Moist egg: Water
  • Frozen egg: Ice
  • Dragon egg: Dragon
  • Dark egg: Dark
  • Common egg: Neutral

The bigger the egg is, the ‘rarer’ the friend inside will be. I put quotes around rare because it’s not literally one rare Pal with a low spawn rate, but more of a late game Pal. For example, hatching a huge green egg can yield a Mammoreest, which is usually not found on the map until the mid-30s, although you can see Mammorest wandering around quite often.

That said, hatching big eggs is a really good way to get some late-game friends early on.
