How to farm XP in Diablo 4

Diablo 4 features an extensive endgame filled with dungeons, world events and world bosses. However, to actually take part in some of this more difficult content, you’ll need to level up your character(s). Fortunately, there are quite a few ways to work efficiently and effectively farm XP in Diablo 4because the game itself offers a slew of possibilities to maximize the amount of time spent in the dungeons, World Events, and the main scenario.

However, dungeons in Diablo 4 also offer more than just general experience gains. Completing dungeons goes towards the accumulation of Aspects which can be applied indefinitely to weapons, armor and accessories, and Glory. For this reason, it’s worth completing every dungeon on the map at least once, as it will kill two birds with one stone on the first completion. Dungeons can also be reset, allowing players to dive back in and take on the hordes of enemies they may have felled on their first run.

Dungeons can be reset indefinitely, and as players level up and reach their Paragon levels, which open after level 50, you’ll gain access to Nightmare Dungeons. (Diablo 4The game’s maximum level is technically 100.) Nightmare Dungeons can be unlocked by completing the campaign and unlocking the Nightmare World Tier, which can also only be done after completing the story. Changing your World Tier to Nightmare allows Sigils to drop from Whispering Tree caches, which are only accessible after beating the main campaign, and grants players access to Nightmare Dungeons. You can also craft these Sigils from the Occultist, which can be found in every major city like Kyovashad, after completing your first Nightmare Dungeon.

World events are another reliable way to easily farm experience points – and highly coveted Murmuring Obols. While not as rich in experience as dungeons, participating in the World Event will allow you to acquire Murmuring Obols, which can be exchanged for Whispering Keys and for the ability to obtain legendary items from specific vendors. World events are indicated by a red-orange ring on your map.

However, the best way to get the most XP is to simply tackle the story. While you can choose to dive into the game Adventurer World Level (not to be confused with the Adventure World Tier difficulty), the main scenario offers a lot of experience for new characters. It’s also relatively easy to clear and can be done about ten levels below the suggested level limit, depending on your build.

You’ll have to saunter from place to place a lot to complete mission objectives and even tackle mandatory story bosses, but you’ll gain a lot of XP doing so. It just depends on whether you’d rather venture out into the world to wade through World Events, Whispering Tree quests and dungeons, or whether you want to experience that story a second, third or even fourth time.

As for World Tiers, it’s best to just get on with the game Adventurer (the first world layer). Then, after completing the main scenario, it bumps up Nightmare. The second world level experience gain is incremental and doesn’t do much for overall efficiency.

Another way to increase your overall XP gain Diablo 4 is to cooperate with other players. Having up to four players in your party gives you 10% more XP, making leveling up easier as you take on hordes of demons and other monstrosities. You even receive 5% XP gain when you participate in World Events outside of missions when there are other players around you.

All things considered, there’s no shortage of ways to level up quickly Diablo 4, and it really depends on how you want to maximize your efficiency. Since the game leans more towards an MMO lite, we recommend teaming up with friends or even random players to get the most out of your winnings. But you can absolutely make the journey on your own and reach the level cap in a handful of days if you dedicate yourself to the grind.
