You will pay a total of 14 stables (and two mini-stalls) across the surface of Hyrule. You will find them in most regions and always along a main road.

Stables allow you to record and store wild horses you’ve captured, sleep a night in a cozy bed, cook some meals, go shopping with Beedle, or pick up some side adventures and quests – like taking the Stable Trotters to the Great Fairies. There is also always a shrine nearby and a well (if you want to complete the side mission “Where are the springs?”).

Earn pony points

You earn pony points for interacting with stables. You will earn a pony point the first time you visit a stable (and speak to the owner). You also get one for registering a horse or paying for a bed.

Each stable also has its own “A Picture For” side quest available (although one, Gerudo Canyon Stable, technically has two). Check the wall for an empty picture frame and interact with it. The owner describes a picture they want to paint and you are tasked with finding the location they specify and taking a picture for them. Show them the correct picture and you’ll earn a pony point.
